ColonHydrotherapy / Therapist Training - Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the therapist certification course?

The length of the course is 10 full days. We request that departure from Vancouver be scheduled the day after the completion of the course as the final day of instruction lasts until the evening.  For those interested in sightseeing, please allow time before the start or after completion of the course. The days are filled with intensive yet rewarding learning hours that normally last until the evening.  As a result, it is advised to schedule sightseeing excursions before or after the course dates.

How many students are in a class?

Class sizes vary from four to eight students per class. More teachers and larger classroom spaces are used to accommodate classes closer to the upper size limit.

Are there exams?

Yes, there are both practical and theoretical exams at the end of the course.

Will I receive a Certificate?

Once you have passed both the practical and theoretical exam and you have fulfilled all the pre-requisites (points 1, 2, & 3 as outlined on the Colon Hydrotherapy Course main page on this website), you will be issued a Therapist Certificate.

What happens if I do not pass one or both exams?

This happens very rarely.  Should it happen, then on the very last day of the course you would be given a chance to re-write the theoretical or re-do the practical exam, after having had the chance to review the material with your instructors.

Is certification by I-ACT (The International Associaton of Colon Hydrotherapists) available?

Yes, Prime Vitality School of Colon Hydrotherapy is an I-ACT recognized School and therefore you have the option to complete the I-ACT Foundation Level exam during that course and receive the additional Certificate from I-ACT.  The process time for I-ACT to send you your certificate is 3 – 4 weeks after your course completion at Prime Vitality.

In order to write the I-ACT foundation level exam and apply for additional I-ACT certification, you need to apply for I-ACT membership by filling in an application form that you receive from Prime Vitality. The cost for membership is US $150.00 for US citizens and US $125.00 for international students. The cost for the I-ACT exam is US $75.00

Will I know whether I passed the I-ACT exam upon completion of my course at Prime Vitality?

No, I-ACT will inform you directly after they have reviewed your exam papers and application. Should you not pass this exam, they will give you a chance to re-write it either at our school or at an I-ACT convention, which takes place in June every year at different locations in the USA.

Will I be receiving and /or giving Colonics?

Yes, the students will be giving colonics to each other as well as to outside clients.  Plenty of practical training is an integral part of the program.

I come from another country.  Do I need to bring Canadian cash?

Generally speaking, a small amount of Canadian funds is advised for small purchases such as food and travel expenses or for books or posters you may want to buy from our school.
