Prime Vitality is an I-ACT registered school. I-ACT is the USA based International Association of Colon Hydrotherapists. Over the years, Prime Vitality has carefully selected an exceptional group of expert instructors. They will assist you to become a competent and successful Colon Hydrotherapist.

At the same time, you will be trained on the most advanced colon hydrotherapy equipment on the market: the Aquanet EC-2000.

Prime Vitality offers three types of certification courses:

1.   Colon Hydrotherapist Certification Course for qualified Professionals (100 hour)
2.   Colon Hydrotherapist Certification Course for Medical and Naturopathic Doctors and registered Nurses 3 days (depending on experience and specific requests)
3.   Colon Hydrotherapist Certification Course with optional additional I-ACT certification added to the 100 hour course above

1.   100 hour Colon Hydrotherapy Course for Professionals without Medical Background
(100 hours, 11 days with one day of rest and study time in the middle, formerly called the "10 day course")

This is a comprehensive and intensive 100 hour course consisting of theoretical presentations and practical treatment exposure. As a student enrolling for this course, you are required to fully study 400 (approx.) pages of course material before attending this course.

Pre-requisites to enter into the 100 hour Therapist Training

1. To be sent with your completed registration form:

  • Your resume with proof (copies) of your complete educational background such as degrees, diplomas, certificates, apprenticeships, seminars completed as well as practical experience.  Please also include your high school diploma or equivalent if you do not have a post secondary degree.                              
  • A cover letter containing a short paragraph why you are interested in choosing colon hydrotherapy as a career. 

Upon receipt of these items you will be contacted by phone by the director of our school for a short telephone interview. After that you will be notified as to your acceptance to the course within not more than 5 days.

2. To be submitted prior to attending the course:
  • Proof of having received at least one to two colon hydrotherapy sessions prior to entering training (such as a receipt from a colon hydrotherapy center).

3. To be completed before your certificate can be issued (If you have these documents at the time of registration, please send them with your application):

  • A copy of your current CPR Card (minimum CPR C).

General Prerequisites:

  • Must be in good general physical & mental health with no adverse health conditions
  • Good knowledge of the English language is essential in order to understand the content of the pre-study manual and all the course presentations

Teaching Location and Facilities:

Theoretical teaching takes place at beautiful venue in an area known as Deep Cove in North Vancouver. Practical instructions take place at Prime Vitality’s teaching facility in North Vancouver, BC. North Vancouver is a suburb of Vancouver and is approximately a 30 minute taxi ride from the Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The practical teaching rooms are fully equipped with Aquanet EC-2000, FDA, CE & Health Canada registered Colon Hydrotherapy equipment.

Daily Course Hours:

Students should be well rested when they come to attend the course. The days start early and end late plus evening study hours are required to fully comprehend the study material provided. It is an intensive yet very exciting and enriching training experience.

Preferred Equipment Pricing: Graduating students are entitled to a course discount on professional equipment from PPHIC.

Graduation:

At the end of the course a written multiple-choice examination on the theoretical part and a test exam on the practical part is completed by each student and a passing mark needs to be achieved to graduate.

Graduates of this course who have complied with the pre-requisites as listed above, will receive a Certificate of Course Completion issued by Prime Vitality, School of Colon Hydrotherapy.  The Certificate will be mailed within 10 days of course completion.

Please note: In the USA, Class II Colon Hydrotherapy devices are regulated by the FDA as follows: Federal Law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician. This means that within the USA Colon Irrigation Devices are prescription devices and their purchase and use must be authorized with a prescription by a practitioner licensed by state law to use such devices in that state.



2.   Intensive 3 Day Colon Hydrotherapy Course for Medical Professionals
(Licensed MD's, licensed ND's, licensed Doctors of Chinese Medicine, registered Nurses & registered Massage Therapists with a minimum of 2 years of practice in their respective fields, 36 course hours)

The prerequisite for this intensive 3 day program is a MD, ND, Dr. of TCM, RN, RPN or RMT diploma from an internationally recognized post secondary institution.  This provides the applicant with enough background education to skip the Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology part of our 100 hour intensive training program.  The 3 day program primarily covers the practical application of colon hydrotherapy treatments on the sophisticated Colon Hydrotherapy unit Aquanet EC-2000.  Also covered is the maintenance of the equipment, business ethics, theoretical lessons on the Benefits of Colon Hydrotherapy and how to fine tune this form of therapy. You will receive a 135 page manual that will assist you in fully incorporating this form of therapy into your professional environment. Basic business knowledge for colon hydrotherapy is also briefly discussed and comes with a 14 page chapter in the Manual.

Pre-requisites for the 3 day Training for MD's, ND's, Dr. of TCM’s & RN’s (to be sent with your completed application form):

    1. Your resume with proof (copies) of your complete educational background such as degrees, diplomas, certificates, seminars completed as well as practical experience.  Please include the name and address of the medical school(s) you attended and where you got certified. Please make sure you include exact dates in your resume.                          
    2. A cover letter containing a short paragraph explaining why you are interested to add Colon Hydrotherapy to your professional profile. 
    3. A copy of your current CPR card (minimum CPR C).
    4. Proof of having received at least one colon hydrotherapy treatment in the past.

    Certification:

    Upon passing the practical applications criteria set by our I-ACT recognized school, you will receive a certificate stating that you have successfully completed your training in colon hydrotherapy.  This will qualify you to either introduce Colon hydrotherapy into your office or work in a doctor’s office. 

    Once we have received the above documents from you, the director of our school will contact you by phone for a short telephone interview. After that you will be notified as to your acceptance to the course within not more than 5 days.

3. Colon Hydrotherapy Certification Course with I-ACT certification (optional incorporation into the 100 hour course)

Additional I-ACT (USA based International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy) Certification is available:

Prime Vitality School of Colon Hydrotherapy is an I-ACT recognized School and therefore you have the option to complete the I-ACT Foundation Level exam during our 100 hour course and receive the foundation level certificate from I-ACT in addition to your certificate from Prime Vitality (subject to each individual passing all exams).
 
I-ACT is an independent organization. In order to receive their certification you need to sign up as a member after completing your training with Prime Vitality. Cost for membership: US $150.00 for US students, US $125.00 for international students. The cost for the I-ACT exam is US $75.00.
 
Additional Prerequisite for I-ACT Certification:
A copy of your educational transcript that contains a minimum of 3 credit hours (about 45 classroom hours) of Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) or a copy of your certificate of a completed 3 credit online A&P course (contact natascha@colonhydrotherapyschool.com for recommendations of such an institution).
